I don't have a picture to go with this post, but I want to include it anyway! We went to the doctor this morning for my "16 week appointment," and everything looks great! The baby's heartbeat was at 149. It was so funny because the baby kept moving while the doctor was trying to hear it. We would hear the heartbeat for a second, and then it would move. I kept thinking that it was trying to tell us to leave it alone!!! ha! My next visit is scheduled for March 24th - at that point, we might be able to tell if it's a boy or girl! We're not sure yet if we want to know. I get an email from babycenter.com every week, letting me know what's going on with me & the baby. This is last email I got (the picture wouldn't post for some reason)...
Your pregnancy: 15 weeks
How your baby's growing: Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds.
