Up North

It was about time we had our fence replaced!! So, I packed up the car with baby, dog & my own stuff. I knew it would be a hassle to take the dogs out on their leashes while the work was being done, so I thought it would be best for me get out of town. We went "up north" to Arlington for a few days. It's always fun to go up there because we never know who we're gonna get to see! Of course we got to see my parents (we stayed with them). We also got to hangout with Tiffany & her girls. They live about 10 minutes (or less) from my parent's house, which is fun! They recently put their adorable home on the market, so if you're looking for a home in central Arlington, let me know!

Brock with the girls. He refused to take his eyes off Emma! :)

My Granny & Aunt Ann came over for a visit.
So fun to see them!
While in Arlington, I wanted to introduce my son
to Campo Verde. My family has been going there
for years, and it's crazy. I actually think they have
cleaned it up a bit since I was there last. It's over-
the-top decorated with lights, garland, pictures, etc.
They also have a train that goes around the whole
restaurant - Brock got so excited every time it came
around to our table. He would STOP EATING
(which is very uncharacteristic of him) & stare
at it. So fun to see this place through his eyes.
I have memories of going to there as a kid -
I didn't like Mexican food (I know, crazy, huh?),
so I would order a baked potato or grilled cheese!
One day, Nana babysat while I drove over to
Lewisville to see Meredith! It was great to
FINALLY see her new home! We drove over
to Sarah's new house & ended up all meeting
Jill for dinner at Patrizio's - my favorite!

Brock is a seasoned crawler now, and I can't keep up with him! So, we created a safe zone for him - a playroom! Greg put up the baby gate, and we put together his mat. Now he has a fun room to read, play with toys and see Rosie & Rylie out the window. I also set up my scrapbook table in there, so I can take breaks to work on it while he plays. It's right off the kitchen, so when I'm working in there, I'm not too far from him.

I love this picture...even though it's a little fuzzy. :)
