Granny Does Austin :)

I'm a little behind on our blog! A couple of

weekends ago, my parents & Granny came

to visit us in Austin. We kept them very busy,

and everyone seemed to have a good time.

We recently had our master bathroom

renovated, and it was done in time for their

visit - thank goodness! I'll have to post

"before and after" pictures sometime. My parents & Granny at the Salt Lick.

Before moving to South Austin, I had

never been to the Salt Lick, but now we

go there often. Not only is the food

really good, but it's a fun place!

Ok, so if you love candy & treats but haven't
been to the Big Top Candy Shop on South
Congress, it needs to be on your list of things
to do! It's like stepping into a time warp.
They have bulk candy, shaved ice, malts,
shakes, ice cream, etc. I like to go for the
atmosphere and the sugar! :) My dad, who
normally has a piece of fruit for dessert,
was like a "kid in a candy store" on this
particular day! ha! Personally, I like the
sour cherries the best - yummy!
