Doctor Visit & Carrots

Last week, we took Brock to the doctor for his 6-month appointment. Dr. Tarrant said that he looks great! He weighed in at 18 lb 4 oz, which puts him in the 50-75%, and he's 26.5 inches long (50-75%). This is seriously such a fun age. I'm not gonna lie - the first few months of Brock's life are kind of a blur now (thank goodness I kept up with the blog - ha!), but I am now soaking up every minute I get to spend with my baby boy. We play with toys...run errands together...read books...dance...stop by Starbucks...go for walks...cuddle...ahhhh, I want to remember these sweet days forever.

After the appointment, we moved from rice cereal to...CARROTS! Yummy! A few days of carrots went well, and then we switched to peas, which he absolutely loves. Ok, I know nobody really cares what Brock is eating. Oh, well...it's a fun part of our day.

We are thrilled that Brock has been doing well in the church nursery. For months we were scared to take him because the colic was so bad, but now he's a happy baby. :) We are thankful for the Harvest class at EV Free and enjoying our time getting to know the members better. It's a community group for parents of young children - several of which knew Greg is college. They have welcomed us with open arms.

Ok, one last thing - on Sunday morning, I asked Greg who he wanted to win the Superbowl. He said, "Well, that's tough because the Steelers have 3 Longhorns and the Cardinals have a Longhorn". ha! His Longhorn obsession cracks me up!

Brock weighs more than Diego who is 2x his age! Diego weighs 17lbs. Glad to hear that you are enjoying this stage so much and that the colic is officially GONE.

I'm so glad to hear that he is doing so well! See - I told you the colic would eventually go away!! It is just sometimes hard to imagine when you're in the middle of it. Glad all is well! :)
