Baseball, Smiles & More!

A couple of weekends ago, my parents came in town for a visit. We spent time walking around the neighborhood, going to the park, attending the UT vs Texas Tech baseball game, eating, playing, etc. Then, I went up to the metroplex for a few days. I even got to spend my birthday up there. Greg & I got to enjoy a night alone while Brock's grandparents babysat. We don't do that too often becase I don't trust just anyone with my precious baby. :) Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks...

Greg's parents are Longhorn fans (of course), and my parents went to Tech.

Just so everyone knows, this was not
my idea. I was actually surprised that
he didn't get scared by the large animal.
Having an 8 month old comes with
new challenges AND lots of adorable
smiles and laughter. He is soaking it
all in, and sometimes I catch myself
just staring at him. He does the furrowed
brow thing & really concentrates on new
objects. He also wants to play with anything
and everything that is not a toy. He would
rather play with the basket than any of the
toys in the basket. But, he does love his
car! Greg's aunt got this for him, and he
just lights up when we push him around.

I'll have to add more pics from our trip up
to DFW later. I went to the Just Between
Friends Resale deal up in Arlington and found
some great summer clothes for Brock and
a few toys that he really likes. He loves
banging on his new piano. He's not crawling
yet, but he does get around by moving his
arms & pulling the rest of his body along.
He also rolls around to get what he wants.
So, he's pretty mobile, and I have to keep an
eye on him because he's in the stage where
everything goes in his mouth...
