Trip to Indy!

I was so excited to leave town & do something different for a change! Would it be challenging? Yes. But, I was determined to do it. If everyone else can do it, my "type A" self can too! So, we booked our flight to Indianapolis to visit Brock's Aunt Priscilla & Uncle Bobby (Greg's sister & her husband). They moved there in November, and I thought it would be fun to take a trip to that side of the country. It definitely takes a lot longer to pack with a 9 month old around! We have taken a lot of long weekend trips in the car, but this was going to be Brock's first plane ride. I started packing a week before we left, and I have to say, I think I did a pretty good job (patting myself on the back). :) We were there for almost a week, and it was so much fun. It was nice to have someone else to entertain Brock while I got to rest a little. Priscilla would carry Brock around the house while getting her stuff done. My back was breaking just watching her. He's now 24 pounds and so wiggly. He wants to touch everything! Priscilla spoiled us - she prepared wonderful meals and borrowed a nice carseat & pack'n'play from a neighbor. We hungout around the house...sat out on the porch...went for walks...played cards at night...ate...went to the park...visited the zoo. Well, I'll let the pictures tell you...

Brock's first plane ride! He was really good on the way there, but he was cranky on the way back home. Actually, I think we all were. He was a good sport, and I'm thankful we made it to & from safely.

Priscilla & Bobby in front of their adorable house in Indy! They have it wonderfully (and comfortably) decorated. They live in a cool neighborhood.
Priscilla is an amazing cook! One night, they invited some friends we knew from law school over. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo out on their awesome deck and enjoyed fajitas in the cool, crip weather. I loved spending time on their back porch...drinking Pacifico under the huge, green trees. Awww...it was nice. :)

We took Brock to his first zoo!
